About Us

Brian and I were married on May 19th, 2007. Shortly thereafter, we moved to Nevada, MO to begin our life together. Brian works for 3M as an Advanced Product Engineer and I am blessed to be a stay at home mom. Our little boy Gentry was born on January 26, 2011. He is the most beautiful, perfect little boy and we are so lucky he is ours. We have a boxer named Lucy who we treat like our child as well. She is still a little jealous of Gentry but we know one day they will be buddies.

Growin' up...

Mr. Gentry just keeps growing and changing every day. He weighs around 25 lbs now and looks taller each day. He is the sweetest little boy and loves to gives kisses and hugs. I think he spends more time each day giving us hugs than playing with his toys. He is such a loveable little guy. He is starting to cut a few molars so he has been super cranky lately. He is definitely starting to use his voice when he is upset or mad. I'm afraid that we're starting the terrible two's a little early. :( That means they should be over faster, right? His vocabulary is growing and one of his favorite things to say is "I don't know." It isn't completely clear but he likes to use this phrase often. Such a goof!

Sandon Family Picnic

Last weekend was the annual Sandon Family Picnic at Brian's Uncle David and Aunt Peggy's in Coffeyville. Brian hasn't been as long as I've known him so after at least eight years of missing it, we decided we needed to go. It was great to meet more of his family members. We took a ride down to feed the cows, ate tons of yummy food, took a ride around the farm in the Rustler and visited with lots of people. We will definitely be back next year.
Getting loaded up to go feed the cows.
Feeding the cows. Gentry loved it and kept petting them on the head. He thought it was hilarious when they would shake to get the flies off. He is definitely a country kid.
Gentry and mama!
Gentry and Grandpa Mark!
Ready to go for a ride! (Now that Brian has his new fancy camera, he is always taking the pictures so this is the only photo of him that we got.)
Look out, Gentry's behing the wheel!
Vroom vroom, comin' through!
 Hanging out with grandpa!
The next day at Grandpa and Grandma Medsker's.
Silly boy would rather push it around than drive it. :)

Trip to Anthony and Tanganyika

We spent May 3rd through 6th in Anthony with my parents. We had planned a trip back during those days so that my mom and I could host a baby shower for a friend but the shower had to be postponed because of other plans. We decided to go ahead and go to Anthony anyways as we hadn't been back since before Christmas. We spent time with my grandpa and grandma Mattingly, Aunt Tammy, Dodge and Bridget and Aunt Karen and Uncle Mike on Friday. Gentry got to show off all of the new tricks he had learned since we had been back last and they all couldn't believe how much he had grown and changed. On Saturday, we took a family trip to Tanganyika in Goddard. Gentry got to see all kinds of animals, feed fish an even ride a camel. It was a great time. Afterwards, we had lunch at Red Lobster before heading back to Anthony. We spent more time with my grandparents that afternoon.
Gentry and Grace. (my brother's dog)
Gentry loved on Gracie all weekend and she was so good with him.
Visiting Great Grandpa and Grandma Mattingly. Gentry was being ornery so I never got a picture of him with either of them during either of our visits. Little stinker!
Hanging out and Aunt Karen and Uncle Mike's!
Ready to check out the animals at Tanganyika!
On our camel ride! Gentry loved it until he saw daddy taking pictures and then he wanted down. He let everyone know it too! :)
Checking out the chickens with grandma!
