About Us

Brian and I were married on May 19th, 2007. Shortly thereafter, we moved to Nevada, MO to begin our life together. Brian works for 3M as an Advanced Product Engineer and I am blessed to be a stay at home mom. Our little boy Gentry was born on January 26, 2011. He is the most beautiful, perfect little boy and we are so lucky he is ours. We have a boxer named Lucy who we treat like our child as well. She is still a little jealous of Gentry but we know one day they will be buddies.

Puzzles, bubbles and sand, oh my....

It cooled off a bit this week so we spent a lot of time outside. Gentry loves blowing bubbles, drawing "ines" (lines) with sidewalk chalk, playing in the grass and dirt and playing in his sandbox. Hopefully this cooler weather will last for a while. I'm looking forward to the pretty fall days ahead. On Thursday evening, Brian and Gentry gave me my birthday presents early. Gentry gave me a really pretty frame with a photo of him in it and a card. Brian gave me money to go towards the necklace and some of the charms that I have been eyeing and a card. (If you haven't seen the Waxing Poetic jewelry, you must...I am obsessed!) On Friday, I received an arrangement of pretty flowers from Gentry. The card said he picked them out all by himself. It is funny how much Gentry's handwriting looks like his daddy's. :) Friday evening my boys took me out to dinner and ice cream in Fort Scott. My boys sure spoiled me. I am one lucky wife/mama! Thanks boys! I love you both!
Wearing daddy's hat!

"What?" "I know I look cool!"
"This piece goes right here."
"Get in there!"
This is his new "look!" I guess it's better than the scowl. :)
My big boy playing outside.
Popping bubbles.
Drawing "ines."
Blowing bubbles!
Too cute!
"Like my bracelets, mommy?"
What a goof!
Helping me with the birthday card he gave me.
Eating ice cream.
"Who needs a spoon?"
Playing in the sand!
"Oooooooooh, this is fun!"

Catching up...again!

It's been awhile since I posted new photos of Gentry. We've been busy, busy lately. Our internet was down for awhile, we had company and then we traveled to Anthony for a wedding. I've been negleting the blog but I'm back...with LOTS of pictures from the last few weeks of our lives. READY...SET...GO...ENJOY!

Playing in his football tent!
Dressed in his winter coat (I tried it on him to make sure it would still fit and he didn't want to take it off.) and his "too big for him" cowboy boots!
Who knows what our neighbors thought if they saw him dressed like this!
Silly boy!
"Mowing the grass" since the back of his blanket is MUCH greener than our yard currently is!
I guess he loves "cold weather gear!" Get this kid a snowstorm!
Petting his "woof woof."
One of the many faces of Gentry.
Snacking on some grapes.
Giving his bear a bear hug.
KISSES!!!
"The look!"
Playing chase with Grandma Vickie!
Reading a story.
Tickle time with Aunt Courtney.
He LOVES his Aunt Court!
Crunching some numbers and Grandpa and Grandma Francis'.
Yep, kid...you've made us broke! :)
Rocking and Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Mattingly's house.
Checking out the owl.
Rock rock, Gibby.
Playing peek-a-boo with great grandma through her walker.
Playing with Grandma Linda.
Deep in conversation with Grandpa Jerry.
Sharing his water with Grace.
Wearing his "new to him" boots from cousin Braxtin on the way home from grandpa and grandma's house.
Yay!
Where's Gentry?
Cheese!
Having a snack with Clem. (That's the bear's real name. It's a Boyds Bear collectible but Gentry loves it so it's his now.)
It was finally cool enough to spend some more time in the sandbox.
So much fun!
And so much sand!
Petting Lucy!
Go Wildcats! He's ready for football season in his new jersey!
