About Us

Brian and I were married on May 19th, 2007. Shortly thereafter, we moved to Nevada, MO to begin our life together. Brian works for 3M as an Advanced Product Engineer and I am blessed to be a stay at home mom. Our little boy Gentry was born on January 26, 2011. He is the most beautiful, perfect little boy and we are so lucky he is ours. We have a boxer named Lucy who we treat like our child as well. She is still a little jealous of Gentry but we know one day they will be buddies.

Today...Gentry Got Gifts Galore

Gentry is definitely one loved little boy! Earlier today, the doorbell rang so Gentry and I went to answer it. It was the FedEx guy. I have been anticipating a special package for Mr. Gentry to come in the mail and I thought surely this was his Christmas stocking that I had ordered from Pottery Barn Kids, as the package was about the right size. (If you have young ones that need a Christmas stocking, check out PBK. They are adorable.) Anyways, back to the package. It was not Gentry's stocking. It was however, a package addressed to Gentry from Von Maur in Davenport, IA. I knew exactly who it was from...Aunt Katelyn and Uncle Brandon!!! We took it into the office/guest room so Gentry could open it. He was fascintated with the ribbon on the package and I think he may have enjoyed it more than what was inside until I finally took it away. The Darling's had sent Gentry an adorable new long sleeve K-State onesie and a new book called "Monkey Truck," which by the way is super cute! We have already read it a couple of times. Below are photos of Gentry opening his gift.

I got the ribbon off! Working on the paper.
I'm going for it!

Oh my! What could it be?

Look mom! A new K-State onesie!

Wow! It's super soft and just my style!

Oooohhh! A new book too! Thanks Aunt Katelyn and Uncle Brandon!

Later on in the afternoon our regular mail came. With the rest of the boring mail was a card addressed to Gentry. It was from Grandpa and Grandma Francis. I gave it to Gentry to open. After trying to eat the card...as usual...I helped him open the envelope. Inside was a Thanksgiving card. Gentry was so excited he waved the card around until out fell at five dollar bill. Immediately he threw the card down and grabbed for the cash. I know...he can't already think that the money is the best part, can he? What a stinker! I gave the card back to him and he proceeded to wave both the card and money around...he was SO EXCITED! We then took the money back to his room to put in his piggy bank. He didn't want to let go of it as we put it in the slot. He'll be happy one day when that little bank is full of five dollar bills. :) Here are some photos of Gentry with his card from grandpa and grandma.

Whoa! More mail just for me?
After the money fell out, he lost interest in the card.
Yay! I love cards with money!
